Paradise Valley · Montana
A studio cottage in Paradise Valley, forty-five minutes from Yellowstone's north gate.
Hosted by Logan and Jena, fifth-generation Montanans. One studio cottage, kept quiet on purpose, between the Absarokas and the Yellowstone River.

Why guests choose it
The Cottage works because it gives travelers a quiet place to land between bigger Montana days.

Real space around the cottage. The kind of dark sky most travelers forget exists. Mule deer at dusk and horses grazing in the next pasture.

King bed with luxurious linens, a full kitchen with sharp knives, an electric fireplace, and a back porch pointed at the Absarokas. Cook a steak, pour a drink, pull out the maps.

Forty-five minutes to Yellowstone's North Entrance. Twenty to Chico Hot Springs. Fifteen to dinner in Livingston. The Yellowstone River runs the whole drive.

The Cottage
The Cottage is a single-room studio on the old Knoll's hackle place — about 800 square feet, built for two, set back from the road on the family's Paradise Valley property. King bed, full kitchen, a fireplace seating area, and windows pointed at the Absarokas. It's the only stay on the property right now. The Flyshop opens later.

Your Montana landing spot
For most guests, The Cottage is not the whole trip. It is the quiet part that makes the rest of the trip work.

Past Livingston, south on 89, the Absarokas open up on your left. You'll feel the shoulders drop before you reach the gate.

Drop the bags, start the kettle, walk the property. The pond is behind the cottage. The mountains are out every window.

Yellowstone, the river, a hot spring, a trailhead, a long lunch in Livingston. We'll tell you which one fits the day.

Cook in. Read by the fire. Step outside before bed and listen to how loud the quiet is.

“Best stargazing area I have ever experienced. You see Mule deer coming to bed down at night, and the horses made me feel even more at home.”

“The posting under-represents the views from the back porch. Absolute beautiful views of the mountains at sunrise and sunset.”

“Coffee on the back porch listening to songbirds and watching the horses graze in the next pasture. It was perfect.”
